My tHERAPUTIC PROCESS…

In our first session I will tell you about myself and my experience with the methods that I use. I will assess your cognitive abilities, any evident mood disorders and any primary addiction. Then we will assess ego, strength, personal boundaries.

If there is mild impairment natural remedies such as exercise, yoga, diet and sleep will be suggested. If a patient can’t think clearly, psychotherapy and interventions will not work as effectively as needed. Mood disorders if moderate to severe will be referred to a trusted psychiatrist.

Primary addictions will be treated first with therapy until effectively arrested. After the containment of current stressors, family and relationship issues are addressed. We will work to get family members on the same page going into codependency treatment.

EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a fairly new, nontraditional type of psychotherapy. It's growing in popularity, particularly for treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). PTSD often occurs after experiences such as military combat, physical assault, rape, or car accidents.) is usually indicated for patients to help contain symptoms and alleviate stress. EMDR therapy is usually indicated for most disorders to help contain symptoms and alleviate stress. Depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, depression, anxiety and OCD are all treated with EMDR.

Co-dependance treatment is addressing the complex trauma in your adult or family of origin history. (Family of origin refers to the significant caretakers and siblings that a person grows up with, or the first social group a person belongs to, which is often a person's biological family or an adoptive family) I will educate you in the core systems of Pia Melodys Post Induction Models that I have very affectively used for 30+ years. Special attention to boundaries, processing reality (thoughts, feelings and behaviors) as a person needs to start developing containment skills which are a necessary component to this treatment. Which is tailored to each persons current abilities and needs with safety as the initial goal before complex trauma can be addressed.
